Fawn Stone Cabochon

$25.00

This material has been around since the 90’s or longer. It now goes by the name of Fawn Stone but was also called Worm track rock and Tigilite. It is a trace fossil in limestone from Gila County Arizona. The patterns we like so much of the patterns of tracks left by worms in mud a very long time ago. This cabochon I cut with the long sides of the girdle going down to the back at around 1mm and the short narrow sides of the shape coming up to the top dome at around 7mm. Will prove for a unique setting. Tumble polished on both sides and will set into your jewelry creation quite nicely

Visit my Sold cabochon Gallery to see past opals I have cut. You will find other examples of materials, shapes, sizes, colors, and in general see my work there. Some stones date back over 15 years in there. I don’t show everything I cut, just the ones I really liked over the years. Please let me know if you have any questions about those materials.

Its also important to visit your local rockclub if you have one near by. Its a
great place to start if you are new to gems and minerals. Thank you.
