Description
Here is a nice little landscape Owyhee Flower Jasper with an excellent scene. The jasper comes from Oregon and is one of the rarest to come out of Oregon. What makes the flower patterns is healed fractures. This cabochon shows the pattern in the sky not 100% healed. But the piece is solid and that white was a little polish I did not fully clean out before taking this photo. It is polished on both sides and a real nice gemstone. Make sure to click on the “Additional Information” tab to see size and girdle height.
Visit my Sold cabochon Gallery to see past opals I have cut. You will find other examples of materials, shapes, sizes, colors, and in general see my work there. Some stones date back over 15 years in there. I don’t show everything I cut, just the ones I really liked over the years.
Please let me know if you have any questions about those materials. Its also important to visit your local rockclub if you have one near by. Its a great place to start if you are new to gems and minerals. Thank you.
